Apostille/Verification or Attestation of Medical certificates in South Africa:

We can assist with the process of getting your Medical Certificates/Records, Reports/document verified or attested at The Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for apostille or Authentication purposes at DIRCO (Department of International Relations and cooperation or at any Foreign Embassy from South Africa  in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, etc.

All medical certificates issued by a medical doctor after a medical examination on a patient needs to be stamped and signed (every page) by the authorised official at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).  By stamping and signing the certificates, the HPCSA confirms that the medical doctor is a registered medical practitioner in South Africa.  (Note:  The Legalisation Section does not legalise actual x-rays.  The results of the x-rays must be contained in the document issued by the medical practitioner, which should be stamped and signed by the HPCSA.).

  • Documents pertaining to the transportation of livestock, including pets, should be stamped and signed by an authorised State Veterinarian.
  • The medical doctor who issues the medical Certificate must be a registered Medical Practitioner in South Africa and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
  • The Medical Certificate issued must have the practice details of the doctor who is responsible in issueing such Certificate

SWORN TRANSLATION

Most authorities outside of South Africa will require official documents to be translated in order to be legalised. The translation ensures that authorities outside of South Africa can fully interpret & comprehend the documents content. Documents that have been legalised through means of apostille or certificate authenticity may need to be translated. The document will be stamped by a sworn translator with permission given by the High Court. Without the stamp, the translated document will not be recognized as a legal document in the intended country for use.
